I love this new breakfast spot in Des plaines. The service is great, they take their time and don't make you feel rushed. The food is always delicious. Love the design and feel of the restaurant.
This was a last-second decision for brunch after a conference in the area. We wanted good food without having to venture into the city since we were leaving from O' Hare. This choice didn't disappoint. It wasn't a party brunch at all, if that's what you want. It was a nice, quaint building in a residential area (looked like it may have once been a home). Lots of families and older people, so it was perfect for a nice, chill meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was flavorful. Here's what I tried: - The "pacos", which I subbed turkey bacon for pork. - Salmon BLT with turkey bacon instead of pork. (The menu doesn't specify, but it's smoked salmon) Just FYI, the turkey bacon substitution was 2 each, which I didn’t quite care for... but I still wanted to try both those items, and they were BOTH really good. They also gave 15% military discount, so it balanced out in my foodie math. Overall, very enjoyable and I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in that area.
Nice sized portions, literally couldn't eat my entire skillet. Potatoes were nice and creamy texture, scrambled eggs were soft and tender. Service was friendly and efficient, we will definitely be back.
We went here for breakfast/lunch and the food was delicious! It's very comfortable inside and nicely decorated. There's a very nice outdoor seating area.Although it was too chilly to sit out there today. The server was great, friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back. The menu has some very interesting items and not your ordinary breakfast and lunch items.

Adorable place, friendly staff, good food. Great mimosas, I had the lavender it was delicious. Although I asked for welll done steak, one part was still pink/red but it was really good and flavorfull, I actually didn't mind. I ate part of it. The bacon and potatoes were good. My friend loved her french toast and hot chocolate, it was really adorable. Very festive.
This place has ruined pancakes for me. A really great breakfast place in Chicago. We came on a for Sunday morning. The service was really good. The atmosphere is really updated new and unique. The menu is good and the waiters are really helpful with the menu. All the food is amazing but the pancakes were so good. I don't think I'm ever going to not have pancakes again and not be disappointed. These were just stellar. Perfectly cooked light and fluffy. Good texture. Amazing with the toppings and condiments. Just absolutely the best pancakes I've ever had. If you love breakfast food, you owe it to yourself to try this place. Be warned though, it sets the bar pretty high for everywhere else.
What a gem! If you’re hankering for something out of the ordinary, look no further than Brunch City Cafe. The decor is fresh and inviting (even the bathroom is gorgeous!) the service is warm with a personal touch. The menu is varied and creative; there is something for everyone. The portions are generous. Our server found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a beautiful stack of birthday pancakes! Delightful! Though they have only been open for a month, Brunch City Cafe has the feel of a neighborhood friend, a place you’ll want visit again and again.
